About this Research Topic

Manuscript Submission Deadline 15 February 2024

The Research Topic is organized in conjunction with the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Green Computing (ICAIGC), to welcome contributions focused on Human-environment Centered AI presented at the 2023 event (or past sessions) in the form of extended papers.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a powerful and emerging technology for analysing data and creating intelligent systems. The use of artificial intelligence for data analysis in fields of knowledge such as natural language processing, computer vision, medical image analysis, industry, robotics, ubiquitous data analytics, cloud computing, the Internet of things, security, and in many other fields has shown its great effectiveness and efficiency. Therefore, this themed article collection is focused on AI applications and systems human and environment-centered.

AI-driven technology will likely continue to improve efficiency and productivity and develop even more innovative applications and systems over time. However, many questions are addressed on the advantages and drawbacks of the intensive use of AI. The goal of this Research Topic is to exhibit how AI-based technologies and applications can improve human life through smart systems and innovative technologies. Developing human environment-AI technologies and systems is also necessary.

Original research articles, reviews and other papers that show recent case studies of human-environment-centered AI applications are welcome. Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Applications of AI for healthcare;
- IoT for Healthcare, e-Health, and Assisted Living;
- Big data for Healthcare management.

Keywords: AI for Healthcare, AI for Environnment, Big data, Edge computing, Security

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
