About this Research Topic
In recent years, global countries have reversed national policies and actions on climate change and ecological protection influenced by changes in the world situation, which causes fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions to increase. There is no doubt that the frequent occurrence of extreme environmental issues around the world has posed severe challenges to the stable relationship among ecosystems, environmental resources, and human well-being, to further threaten global green sustainable development. In particular, ecological livability, which covers the connotation of sustainable development strategic objectives, comprehensively reflects the stability and health of ecosystem, as well as all aspects of economic development, social development, and ecological environment quality, has been widely discussed in the academic.
Against the general trend of the global green and low-carbon transition, how to properly handle with the threats, opportunities, and challenges in the global green transition/for undeveloped countries? How to calculate the conversion and efficient utilization of exhaustible and renewable energy sources? How to design the pathway and countermeasures exploration to reach green transition and ecological livability? How to optimize the social, economic, and environmental policies/regulations under uncertainty situation? how to balance the nexus of the open market process, government intervention, and enterprise technology transition in the era of the energy transition? In summary, those are urgent problems that need to be solved, and they formed the initial incentive of this Research Topic.
This Research Topic focuses on the study of green transition and ecological livability in various countries around the world. We welcome a range of perspectives including theoretical, methodological, quantitative, and qualitative research. Original Research and Review Papers are accepted.
