About this Research Topic
The goal of this research topic is to aggregate research articles that explore a range of viewpoints regarding controversies that surround the pathophysiology, assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of neuropathic pain. Collectively, these studies will improve our understanding of neuropathic pain and highlight the need for continued research and a multi-disciplinary approach to address this significant public health issue.
We welcome the submission of manuscripts including, but not limited to, the following topics:
1. pathophysiology underlying the development and maintenance of neuropathic pain
2. assessment and diagnosis of neuropathic pain
3. treatment approaches for neuropathic pain
The articles should address controversial topics in neuropathic pain and can be original research studies, opinion pieces, reviews, systematic reviews, short reports, or case studies.
