The goal is to conduct controlled studies to investigate the efficacy, side effects, and potential interactions of these therapies with commonly used drugs. A particular focus will be on identifying the pharmacologically-active ingredients in plants to optimize dosing regimens in animals. This research will also aim to provide a better understanding of the current state of knowledge and highlight existing gaps in the field.The scope of this research topic is defined by its focus on the veterinary use of botanicals.
