Background

Electric vehicles (EV) and renewable energy systems such as solar cells contribute to sustainability by reducing local air pollution through zero emissions, leading to improvement in air quality and public health. However, the integration of electric vehicles and renewable energy systems—leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, inverters, communication systems as well as climate change—presents technical challenges such as vulnerabilities in resiliency and cyber-security of smart grids.

Scope and Information for Authors:

This Research Topic will address the aforementioned critical aspects, focusing on the latest advancements in EV/ EV Charging Stations (EVCS) technologies and the challenges of their integration into smart grids.

We welcome submissions of Original Research, Review, and Perspective articles. This Research Topic aims to serve as a platform for pioneering insights that help shape the future of power and energy systems.

Key areas of focus include but are not limited to the following:

· (Autopilot) EVs/V2Gs
· Wire/Wireless EVCSs
· Fast/Medium EVCSs
