Obesity is a pressing global health issue with a significant impact on various degenerative diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and osteoarthritis. With a growing prevalence worldwide, traditional methods of management have predominantly addressed the symptoms, rather than focusing on preventative strategies. There is a recognized need for comprehensive lifestyle interventions that not only mitigate the immediate health consequences of obesity but also address its long-term complications. Recent studies have begun to unravel the complex ways in which lifestyle modifications can influence health outcomes, yet there remains much to learn about the effective integration of these strategies into everyday life and clinical practice. This Research Topic aims to evaluate the impact of lifestyle interventions in preventing and managing obesity-related degenerative diseases. It will focus on how different aspects of lifestyle, including diet, physical activity, sleep, and stress management, can play crucial roles in the onset and progression of these conditions. The scope of this inquiry will encompass a wide range of research types, from empirical studies to systematic reviews, and from clinical case studies to methodological examinations. These contributions will enhance our understanding of the biological, psychological, and social mechanisms that underpin the effective management of obesity through lifestyle changes. To gather further insights in the comprehensive management of obesity-related conditions, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:o Analysis of exercise interventions specific to obesity and metabolic syndromeso Comparisons of structured versus unstructured physical activities on long-term healtho The role of digital health tools in obesity management, including apps and wearable technologyo Effectiveness of telehealth and remote coaching in maintaining weight managemento Impact of community programs and policy interventions on reducing obesity rateso Contributions of yoga, tai chi, and other complementary therapies on health in people living with obesityo Integrative approaches that combine traditional and modern therapies for obesity treatment
