Evidence-Based Psychological Practice (EBPP) is a global priority for improving mental health care. While Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) remains one of the most rigorously evaluated approaches—demonstrating strong efficacy across conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD—other empirically supported interventions such as Systemic Family Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches have gained prominence across diverse populations and clinical settings.

The expansion of evidence-based practices is strongly supported by international organizations such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the Cochrane Collaboration, which provide transparent, rigorous evaluations of psychological interventions using frameworks such as GRADE. However, the global impact of these interventions is still limited by barriers to dissemination, training, cultural adaptation, and implementation—particularly in low-resource or underserved settings.

This Research Topic seeks to gather cutting-edge research, systematic syntheses, and practice-based insights that address how evidence-based psychological interventions can be improved, scaled, and sustained. We welcome contributions that reflect methodological rigor and innovation, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), meta-analyses, Cochrane-style reviews, and implementation studies aligned with NICE or GRADE standards.

– Implementation strategies, training models, and scalability solutions in real-world practice

– Qualitative and mixed-methods studies exploring user experience, feasibility, and acceptability
