The field of Eco-Omics has emerged as a powerful tool in understanding the interactions between nematodes, plants, and soil microbiomes. These interactions form a complex ecological network that significantly influences soil health, plant growth, and ecosystem resilience. Despite the critical roles these interactions play, our understanding of their underlying mechanisms and ecological impact remains limited. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of eco-omics to unravel these complex relationships, offering new prospects for sustainable agriculture and ecological conservation. However, significant gaps remain, particularly in translating omics-based findings into practical applications.

This Research Topic aims to harness the power of Eco-Omics to advance our understanding of nematode-plant-soil microbiome interactions. By focusing on the molecular and genetic underpinnings of these relationships, the goal is to shed light on how these organisms collectively influence ecosystem functionality. This includes investigating specific biochemical pathways, genetic interactions, and the influence of environmental factors on these interactions. Ultimately, the research seeks to develop innovative strategies for enhancing plant resilience and optimizing agricultural practices.
