Recent advances in reality-virtuality technologies—including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Extended Reality (XR)—are reshaping the landscape of psychiatric assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation. These immersive technologies offer unprecedented opportunities for creating controlled, customizable, and engaging environments that can address a variety of psychiatric conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, and cognitive impairments.

This Research Topic invites contributions that deepen our understanding of how reality-virtuality technologies can enhance mental health and wellness, both as standalone interventions and as adjuncts to conventional therapies.
