Dysfunctions in these tightly regulated pathways -frequently observed in metabolic disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension- create a pro-tumorigenic environment that intersects with core oncogenic signaling networks.

Recent advances have illuminated significant mechanistic overlap between cancer metabolism and the pathophysiology of metabolic diseases.
