Frontiers in Physics is delighted to present “Reviews in Fluid Dynamics: 2026”.
This Research Topic will feature authoritative Review and Mini Review articles covering major advances across Fluid Dynamics Physics, clarifying the state of the art and defining the most promising directions for future research and innovation.
We welcome contributions spanning fundamental theory, experimental breakthroughs, and advanced modelling and simulation, with a strong emphasis on work that deepens our understanding of fluids and flow physics and bridges theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches across the field.
We encourage Review and Mini Review submissions that cover established and emerging areas such as:

• Dynamics of drops, bubbles, colloids, fibres, and surfactants
• Micro- and nano-scale flows, electrokinetics, and quantum fluids
• Fluid–structure interaction, flows in complex geometries, and porous media
• Free surface flows, boundary layers, jets, and waves
• Rheology, acoustics in fluid and gas flows, and the flow of active matter
• Experimental techniques and emerging measurement approaches in fluid dynamics
• Applications of fluid dynamics to biological, geophysical, and industrial problems
This Research Topic aims to serve as a practical reference for researchers and innovators, and a catalyst for new collaborations and future Research Topics.
