About this Research Topic
In recent years, small wind turbines (SWTs) have become an important technology for harnessing renewable energy in the context of sustainable development. The performance and operation of these turbines as micro-generators for houses or buildings has led to greater investment in both academia and industry to design and improve the performance of SWTs in different geographical locations and under a variety of conditions.
The purpose of this Research Topic is to provide an opportunity for scientists, engineers and practitioners to propose their latest theoretical and technological achievements in system design, modeling, control and operation, especially in the aspects of power regulation and fault tolerant control.
All submissions are expected to present original ideas and new approaches. Articles presenting experimental results for small wind turbines are especially welcome.
