ENEA 2010: Cabergoline treatment of acromegaly

Prof Philippe Chanson speaks about the use of cabergoline to treat acromegaly. Although this drug is commonly used for acromegaly treatment, there have not been any clinical trials to establish what possible benefit it has and how it should be used. Prof Chanson discusses a recent systematic review and meta-analysis of cabergoline and explains what it has shown us about the effects on IGF1 levels, when this drug should be used and the potential risk of side effects.
