NSF I-Corps 2014 Michigan Cohort Team 341: Lessons Learned Video

Rutgers University's Dr. Elizabeth Torres (Principal Investigator), Jillian Nguyen (Entrepreneurial Lead), and Dr. Sam Kongsamut (Industry Mentor) take us through the customer discovery journey after 113 interviews in the autism ecosystem. This was part of the activities of team 341 at the NSF I-Corps class August 2014, Michigan Cohort team 341. The purpose of this course was to convert our scientific invention into an innovation with the purpose of creating start-up companies that stimulate our economy and have societal impact. We used the lean start-up model invented by Steve Blank and others. Our "get out of the building" exercise paid off after 113 interviews. We plan to move on with our company creation in the near future, but for now we decided for a no-go/not yet step.
