In recognition of DonateLife Week 2012 RiAus presented a panel discussion about the immune system on February 22nd 2012. In this first video Samantha McDonnell talks about her life before organ transplantation. She is joined on stage by transplant nephrologist, Associate Professor Toby Coates, and Rhonda Holdsworth from the Australian Red Cross Blood Service as they explain the complexity of the immune system and the meticulous scientific detail required to determine the 'right match'.
