About this Research Topic
Over the past 3 decades, there has been an increasing interest in recording the sympathetic nerve traffic in the skeletal muscle in humans in order to understand the physiology and pathophysiology associated with a number of conditions linked with elevated cardiovascular risk. The technique has been substantially improved in the past 10 years and has been applied to many patient groups and is now available in a number of laboratories all over the world.
