Centering on this topic, it is necessary to carry out research on mechanism analysis, process dynamic simulation, optimization regulation and so on at different scales of ecosystems. In particular, the ongoing climate warming and human activities have altered the flow-organism interactions in different regions including land, freshwater and marine ecosystems. Therefore, it is highly necessary to further advance our knowledge of the flow, mass transport and ecological process in land-freshwater-marine ecosystems on earth.
This Research Topic aims to promote the research on flow, mass transport, ecological process and their impacts on land-freshwater-marine ecosystems by gathering and highlighting recent studies and findings based on numerical modeling, in-site observations, lab experiments, literature review, etc. We hope this Research Topic can help better design and implementation of practical applications for improving different ecosystems in the context of climate change.
