Drug Allergy in Children

Drug allergy is a major public health problem which causes 0.4-10.3% of hospital admissions in children. Epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of drug allergies differ between pediatric and adult patients. There are still gaps in knowledge about drug allergies in children.

This Research Topic will discuss recent developments in drug allergy with a focus on pediatric age, particularly on diagnosis and treatment. The Research Topic will also address the differences between pediatric and adult patients such as: drugs involved in reactions, methods used for diagnosis, natural history, risk factors, etc.
