Bloodstream infections (BSIs) stand as a significant contributor to the global burden of infectious diseases, impacting both health and mortality on a widespread scale. Beyond the pivotal role of positive blood culture in confirming BSI presence, healthcare providers grapple with myriad contributing factors. Consequently, an imminent imperative exists to explore novel avenues for diagnosing and treating BSIs, encompassing initiatives such as antimicrobial stewardship programs.

This Research Theme strives to encompass contemporary facets of BSI epidemiology, along with innovative approaches to diagnosis and intervention. Encompassing a spectrum from unraveling the molecular underpinnings of pathogenesis to encapsulating host immunological responses, it also delves into the assessment of available biomolecular tools for early identification and presents the freshest advancements in antimicrobial exploration.

We cordially welcome contributions spanning Original Research, Systematic Examination, Methodological Insights, Comprehensive Appraisal, Compact Review, Hypothetical Constructs, and Theoretical Synthesis. This inclusive spectrum covers rudimentary, transitional, and clinical research into the treatment of BSI patients. Furthermore, investigations probing BSI predictors, early detection modalities amid septic or febrile cases, and the ensuing subjects find a hospitable platform:
• The influence of swift antimicrobial therapy and/or source management on patient consequences
• Comparative evaluations of diverse diagnostic mechanisms, with a focal point on early detection
