Much is known regarding the physical characteristics, comorbid symptoms, psychological makeup, and psychological performance of patients. In the past decade, there has been an increasing interest in this group of disorders both from a clinical as well as a research point of view. Therefore, we hope to highlight some of the most salient and exciting researches from recent years on the evaluation and prediction of cognitive impairments and emotional disorders at various scales, such as cellular, molecular, voxel, network, etc. This Research Topic will focus on new findings illuminating mechanisms and studies examining treatment, as well as applications that reflect artificial intelligence, big data, and other new technologies.
The pathogenesis and clinical treatment are very complex to cognitive impairments and emotional disorders. At present, most patients often have no obvious imaging changes, no specific pathogenic genes have been found, and the therapeutic effect is not satisfactory. It is very important for the evaluation and prediction of functional neurological disorders to further discuss the pathogenesis and physiological process with advanced experimental means and computational methods.
