More than 130 countries have committed to carbon neutrality globally, due to the high homology of carbon dioxide and air pollutant emissions. Strengthening the high integration of global and regional climate change mitigation and ecological environment protection, as well as enhancing the integrated systems for energy, resource, climate and environment, have gradually become key issues in the field of energy, climate and environment in the context of carbon neutrality. Clarifying the long-term substantial climate and environmental improvement pathways, their impacts and effects, costs and benefits, and sustainable mitigation solutions in the context of carbon neutrality strategies, are critical to synergically tackle climate change and environmental issues.

Aiming to both better understand the problems and point the way to cost-effective solutions for global and regional climate and environmental issues in the context of carbon neutrality by using self-developed or mature models such as integrated assessment models, energy models, air quality models, or climate models. Recently, numerous studies have investigated the synergic governance on carbon reduction and environmental mitigation. While our knowledge on complicated emission systems, climate and environmental impacts, global and regional policies are far from adequate.

Subtopics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Global and regional climate and environmental issues in the context of carbon neutrality;
• The exploration of carbon-neutral synergy pathways for climate and environment;
• the committed emission of global and regional infrastructures, mitigation potentials and costs;
• climate, environmental, and health impacts, effects and benefits under different pathways;
• the identification of cost-effective pathways;
• the proposal for sustainable mitigation solutions;
• the role of energy & resource system transition on climate change mitigation and pollution abatements across the globe, such as the contribution from the application of low carbon fuels and material recycling.
