About this Research Topic
In an aging society, age-related diseases are certainly expected to increase. On the other hand, extension of healthy life years and “staying healthy until old age, then dying painlessly” are standard medical requirements. Early diagnosis of inflammaging is thought to lead to prevention of age-related diseases. The development of new biomarkers for inflammaging prevents the onset of various age-related diseases in animals.
This research topic covers subjects as follows.
- Onset mechanism of inflammaging in animals
- Development of new diagnostic biomarkers for inflammaging in animals
- Early diagnosis of age-related diseases with inflammaging in animals
- New treatments (diet therapy, pharmacotherapy, regenerative medicine and others) for age-related diseases in animals
All types of articles will be considered for publication, including case reports, original research articles and reviews.
Keywords: aging, biomarker, chronic inflammation, proinflammatory cytokine, preventive medicine, senescence cell
