Multiomic approaches, encompassing genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics, lipidomics, glycomics, epigenomics, microbiomics, nutriomics, and exposome-omics, are continuously evolving. These approaches offer a comprehensive understanding of skin health and disease, from the physiological process of aging to immune conditions like psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and vesiculo-bullous autoimmune disorders, which significantly impact global morbidity and mortality. In oncology, multiomics research holds promise for identifying key biomarkers and molecular targets, potentially improving outcomes for patients with skin cancer or dermatologic adverse reactions to targeted therapies. Despite these advances, the vast amount of data and diverse research directions often result in conflicting findings, highlighting the need for a more integrated approach to understanding and managing immune skin conditions.

This research topic aims to consolidate the latest and most pertinent scientific studies on managing immune skin conditions—whether inflammatory, autoimmune, or involving complex immune pathogenic mechanisms—through multi-omic approaches. We seek submissions that will enhance our understanding of recent advancements and novel discoveries, ultimately bridging the gap between preclinical research and clinical application.
