Cyber-syndrome, particularly among adolescents, has become a critical public health issue due to the excessive and compulsive use of digital technologies, including smartphones, social media, and online gaming. This syndrome can lead to severe consequences such as sleep disruption, reduced academic performance, and increased incidence of mental health disorders like anxiety and depression. Adolescents are especially susceptible due to their developmental stage, characterized by a heightened sensitivity to social stimuli and reward-seeking behaviors. Traditional interventions, which typically include educational and behavioral strategies, often lack the personalization and real-time responsiveness needed to be effective. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into healthcare presents a promising approach to this problem. AI can provide customized interventions by analyzing individual usage patterns, emotional states, and behavioral trends, thereby offering timely and personalized support to mitigate the effects of cyber-syndrome among adolescents.

The goal of this Research Topic is to explore and highlight innovative AI-enabled healthcare solutions specifically designed for adolescents suffering from cyber-syndrome. The special issue aims to gather cutting-edge research and practical applications that leverage advanced AI algorithms to monitor and analyze technology use and emotional health in real-time, providing personalized feedback and interventions. By addressing excessive digital consumption and its associated negative impacts, these solutions seek to foster healthier digital habits and improve overall well-being among adolescents. Ultimately, this special issue aims to present scalable and effective strategies for managing cyber-syndrome in the adolescent population.
