Natural products have gained increasing attention as a valuable source of novel therapeutics for bone-related diseases, particularly those driven by endocrine and metabolic dysfunction. Derived from botanical, marine, and microbial origins, these compounds possess a diverse range of bioactivities that include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hormone-modulating, and osteo-regenerative properties. Recent findings suggest that natural products can modulate key hormonal pathways and cellular processes involved in bone remodeling, offering promising alternatives or complements to conventional pharmacotherapies. As interest grows in integrating natural agents into clinical bone health strategies, a deeper understanding of their mechanisms, safety, and translational viability is urgently needed, especially within the context of endocrine regulation and bone metabolism.

This Research Topic seeks to highlight cutting-edge research on the endocrine-related mechanisms by which natural products influence bone health and disease. We aim to uncover how these bioactive compounds modulate hormone signaling, bone remodeling, and systemic metabolic processes, and to assess their therapeutic potential in the prevention and treatment of skeletal disorders. By bringing together interdisciplinary insights, this collection will contribute to advancing both mechanistic understanding and clinical application of natural agents in bone endocrinology. We welcome submissions addressing, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Effects of natural products on hormonal signaling pathways involved in bone metabolism

• Mechanistic studies exploring molecular targets of plant- derived compounds in osteoblast and osteoclast activity.
