This field explores the connection between malnutrition and allergic conditions, underscoring the essential role that proper nutrition plays in immune regulation. Within the vast array of plant and animal foods are bioactive compounds—macronutrients, micronutrients, and microbiota-modulating substances—that impact biological processes and overall health substantially. Consuming these compounds is associated not only with reduced chronic disease risk, such as cardiovascular disorders, but also with improved immune function.
