Current studies suggest a deeper role for immunological disturbances in these disorders, stressing the importance of examining this interaction. Moreover, the potential of allergies to influence the pathophysiology of Meniere's disease has called for an intensified focus on immune contributions to both etiology and progression.

This Research Topic aims to dissect the intricate interplay between allergic responses and inflammation in the development and exacerbation of inner ear disorders. The goal is to enhance our understanding of immunological mechanisms at work, which could lead to groundbreaking preventative and therapeutic strategies. Insights into roles of specific immune cells and inflammation in the inner ear will be critical in devising new approaches for managing these often-debilitating conditions.
