Diagnosis typically relies on skin prick tests and measurements of serum IgE, although emerging research is now exploring molecular diagnostic techniques.

Treatment options include allergen avoidance, antihistamines, corticosteroids, and immunotherapy; however, new approaches are investigating biologics, probiotics, and immunomodulatory therapies.
