Meanwhile, the increasing adoption of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles necessitates proper control and enhanced grid management strategies to accommodate fluctuating demand. Emerging solutions such as grid-forming inverters and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) are becoming essential to enhance grid flexibility and resilience. Addressing these challenges is essential for ensuring a resilient and sustainable power infrastructure.

This Research Topic aims to explore the latest progress and ongoing challenges in modern power systems, focusing on distributed generation, smart metering, energy storage, and EVs. It seeks to identify innovative solutions that enhance grid stability, improve power quality, and promote the efficient use of energy resources.
