The field of immunotherapy has transformed the landscape of cancer treatment, particularly with solid tumors, introducing newer modalities that promise more individualized approaches. Next-generation immunotherapies like CAR-T cell therapy, tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy, and immune checkpoint inhibitors have shown notable advancements in enhancing anti-tumor efficacy. However, despite these advancements, many patients still fail to achieve sustained benefits. There is an urgent need to develop novel approaches to treat solid tumors more effectively. In the context, novel biomarkers are valuable for identifying which patients will most likely respond to current immunotherapies, monitoring treatment progress, and detecting early signs of relapse, thereby guiding the development of more efficacious personalized immunotherapies.

This Research Topic aims to revolutionize the treatment regime of solid tumors by integrating next-generation immunotherapy with biomarker-based strategies. The overarching goal is to advance the therapy of solid tumors through innovative immunotherapy strategies and to discover reliable, non-invasive biomarkers for monitoring responses and optimizing treatment regimens. Key aims include developing personalized and efficacious therapies that address current limitations in cancer treatment. Ultimately, these efforts aim to enhance clinical outcomes and improve survival outcomes of patients with solid tumors.

To gather further insights in enhancing cancer treatment paradigms, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:

· Evaluation of Tumor Microenvironment: Understanding how the tumor microenviron-ment affects therapy response and developing strategies to target it.

· Integration of AI in Biomarker Discovery: Leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance the identification and prediction of effective biomarkers for personalized treatments.

We also welcome various types of articles including original research, reviews, and case reports.

Please note that manuscripts consisting solely of bioinformatics or computational analysis of public omics databases that are not supplemented by relevant functional validation (clinical cohort or biological validation in vitro or in vivo) are out of scope for this Research Topic.
