The One Health approach recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, yet its implementation faces challenges related to policy coherence, stakeholder alignment, and measurable impacts. Recent global crises, such as COVID-19, antimicrobial resistance, and climate-sensitive zoonoses, have highlighted the urgent need for evidence-based policymaking and rigorous evaluation of One Health interventions. While theoretical frameworks abound, there remains a critical gap in translating these into actionable, context-specific policies and assessing their real-world effectiveness. This Research Topic aims to bridge this gap by focusing on policy simulation tools (e.g., computational modeling and scenario analysis) and practice evaluation methods (e.g., case studies, impact metrics), with the goal of optimizing One Health strategies.

This Research Topic aims to:
• Showcase innovative methodologies for simulating One Health policies across diverse settings.
• Evaluate the outcomes of implemented One Health practices to identify best practices and barriers.
• Foster interdisciplinary dialogue to enhance policy-practice synergies within human-animal-environment systems.

We invite contributions addressing (but not limited to) the following specific themes:
• Policy Simulation: Computational models, agent-based simulations, or decision-support systems for One Health policymaking.
• Practice Evaluation: Metrics, frameworks, or case studies assessing the efficacy of One Health interventions (e.g., zoonotic disease control and antimicrobial stewardship).
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strategies for multi-sectoral collaboration (governments, NGOs, and academia) in policy design and implementation.
• Data Integration: Use of big data, artificial intelligence (AI), or geographic information systems (GIS) in One Health policy analysis.
• Equity and Ethics: Approaches to addressing disparities and ethical considerations in One Health policy impacts across different regions or populations.
