Researchers are presently tackling the challenges and opportunities within this domain, focusing on developing targeted therapies and improving patient care. Recent advancements in pediatric oncology emphasize the importance of documenting rare and atypical clinical phenomena, unraveling the complexities of pediatric cancers, and crafting innovative therapeutic approaches. While substantial progress has been made, significant gaps remain in understanding and addressing the unique characteristics of pediatric oncology.

This Research Topic aims to create a comprehensive repository of well-documented case reports that present exceptional and atypical clinical phenomena within pediatric oncology, spotlighting successful implementations of innovative therapeutic approaches. By addressing critical questions concerning developmental cancer, the focus delves into developing, implementing, and evaluating targeted therapies and treatment strategies. Our aim is to build a comprehensive collection that broadens scientific understanding while simultaneously enhancing patient care strategies. The collection’s exclusivity means that reports need to keep a direct link to pediatric oncological foundations.
