Traditional chemical control measures raise concerns regarding their impact on the environment, resistance development, and the harm they may cause to non-target organisms. These drawbacks highlight the urgency for innovative, eco-friendly control strategies that effectively target nematode infestations while minimizing adverse effects.

This Research Topic aims to pioneer integrative approaches blending phylogenetics, symbiotic interactions, plant nematode molecular interactions, and nanotechnology to create advanced solutions for nematode management. By leveraging genomic and evolutionary insights, researchers have the potential to design species-specific interventions that are both sustainable and precise.
