As a result, there is a pivotal shift towards sustainable practices. One such approach capturing interest is the use of natural extracts sourced from plants, algae, fungi, and marine organisms. These bioactive compounds hold promise due to their diverse mechanisms of action, which encompass direct antimicrobial effects, immunostimulation, and microbiota modulation.

This Research Topic aims to delve into the potential of natural extracts as sustainable antibacterial agents for managing bacterial diseases in aquaculture settings.
