The translation of personalized medicine and precision health from theory into everyday practice relies on adaptable frameworks that assess and guide implementation at multiple levels. As advances in biotechnology and digital health continually transform diagnostics, treatment, and patient care pathways, health systems must evolve to ensure these innovations are equitably and effectively integrated into public health strategies.

This Research Topic seeks original research, systematic reviews, methodological papers, and case studies that address the operationalization of precision health—particularly the development, evaluation, and application of frameworks and tools to measure and guide the implementation of precision health and personalized medicine at national or system levels.

We invite submissions that explore:

• Frameworks and models for assessing the maturity and effectiveness of precision health and personalized medicine implementation across diverse healthcare settings and countries;
• Digital tools and platforms that support the assessment and deployment of individualized healthcare approaches;
• Multidomain and multifactorial approaches to monitor progress in adopting genomics, digital biomarkers, adaptive therapeutics, and other elements of personalized medicine;
• Comparative assessments or rankings of countries/regions based on their precision health infrastructure, policies, or implementation efforts;
• Guidelines or best practices for designing and scaling precision health initiatives within national and public health frameworks;
• Integration of digital health, real-world evidence, and data-driven strategies to enhance effective operationalization;
• Challenges and facilitators in mainstreaming precision health, including workforce development, governance, health information systems, and ethical considerations;
• Case studies of successful or ongoing national precision health implementation strategies, highlighting critical lessons learned.

This Research Topic was launched in collaboration with the 10th Digital Public Health Conference, a world-leading annual interdisciplinary event on research and innovation in digital public health, organized by University College London. We welcome submissions from speakers, attendees and the broader research community.
