Advanced catalytic methods have demonstrated a strong track record in enabling energy-efficient and selective molecular transformations, which significantly contribute to chemical and industrial product production.

This Research Topic aims to contribute to the advancement of sustainable chemistry by focusing on innovative research in catalytic processes involving biomass-based feedstocks. It seeks to explore the potential of advanced catalysis to facilitate the transformation of biomass into fuels and chemicals in a sustainable manner.
