Hence, a critical need arises for evolving lightweight, higher energy-density storage solutions. Load-bearing and energy storage integrated fiber composites emerge as a promising innovation, combining structural integrity with electrochemical energy capabilities. These composites are not only revolutionizing energy storage but are also instrumental in enhancing transport efficiency and overall performance by markedly reducing vehicle weight and boosting energy utilization.

This Research Topic aims to advance the technological frontiers in the design and production of fiber composites that harmonize load-bearing and energy storage functionalities.
