Ocular biomechanics merges mechanical engineering principles with ophthalmology, offering insights into eye function and facilitating the development of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tools. Despite considerable progress, challenges remain, particularly in translating biomechanical insights into clinical practice, advancing early diagnosis, and personalizing treatment strategies. Further investigation into the relationship between mechanical forces and cellular responses in ocular tissues is essential.

This Research Topic aims to further explore ocular biomechanics by highlighting innovative research that bridges fundamental biomechanical principles with clinical applications.
