This expansion necessitates precise cardiovascular risk stratification, early detection of potential cardiotoxicities, and the development of tailored cardioprotective approaches to improve patient outcomes. Literature highlights significant advancements in using genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic biomarkers, coupled with sophisticated imaging techniques and machine learning models, for refined risk prediction and toxicity monitoring. However, existing gaps in translating these tools into routine clinical practice, especially in varied demographic contexts, underscore the need for continued investigation.

This Research Topic aims to probe contemporary advancements and address unmet needs in cardio-oncology, particularly focusing on personalized strategies throughout the continuum of cancer care.
