These technologies promise transformative changes but also pose substantial operational challenges when integrated into decentralized power grids. Their unpredictable behavior, including bidirectional power flows and varied spatiotemporal patterns, requires sophisticated coordination strategies to maximize grid reliability, flexibility, sustainability, and economic efficiency.

This Research Topic aims to unite groundbreaking studies focused on the synergistic integration and intelligent coordination of RES, ESS, and EVs within decentralized, digitally empowered power systems. The objective is to uncover methods to enhance grid support while ensuring economic efficiency, making the transition both feasible and financially viable. Contributions that delve into multi-energy coupling, optimal scheduling, coordinated control algorithms, economic dispatch models, and system-level planning frameworks are especially encouraged. The goal is to develop optimized solutions that address the complexities of integrating these emergent technologies seamlessly into power grids that are not only decentralized and resilient but also economically advantageous.
