Gynecologic treatments, whether for benign conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, or cervical dysplasia, or for malignant diseases requiring fertility-sparing or radical interventions, can have profound implications on subsequent obstetric and perinatal outcomes. Increasing evidence suggests that surgical and medical interventions in gynecology may influence fertility potential, pregnancy complications and maternal-fetal health.

This Research Topic aims to comprehensively evaluate the obstetric sequelae of gynecologic treatments, connecting the fields of gynecology and obstetrics. It will address how diagnostic, surgical, and pharmacologic strategies in gynecology shape reproductive trajectories, with a particular focus on fertility preservation, obstetric complications, and perinatal outcomes. By promoting interdisciplinary dialogue, this collection aims to advance clinical practice and enhance counseling for women who face both gynecologic diseases and reproductive planning.

We welcome contributions, including original research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:

• Obstetric and perinatal outcomes after surgery for benign gynecologic conditions
• Fertility-sparing treatments in gynecologic oncology and their impact on pregnancy and neonatal health
• Biomarkers and predictors of reproductive outcomes following gynecologic interventions
• Long-term maternal and neonatal outcomes after conservative and radical gynecologic treatments
• Innovative preventive and surgical strategies minimizing reproductive sequelae
