Following the success of previous volumes (see below), we are pleased to present Volume V of this collection!

Ophthalmology has experienced significant growth over recent decades, highlighted by numerous breakthroughs in treatments for a range of eye diseases. Diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic macular edema, alongside less common conditions like genetic eye disorders and uveitis, have seen promising therapeutic advances. Concurrently, innovations in technology have transformed eye surgery, introducing cutting-edge procedures that enhance the safety, efficiency, and precision of surgical interventions.

This Research Topic is dedicated to collating and analyzing the latest developments in the therapeutic and surgical management of ocular diseases. The goal is to both summarize cutting-edge methods and provide a foresight into future directions in research, thereby enriching our understanding and treatment approaches in the field of ophthalmology.
