About this Research Topic

These reviews range from recent knowledge about chromatin as a key regulator of cell and organ function to the often dramatic consequences of chromatin reorganization/dysfunction. A special focus will be on the role of DNA damage as a mediator of such chromatin changes and their impact on the aging process.

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
