Advanced nanomaterials have received broad and intense attention from both academia and industry, with huge potential in a wide range of optoelectronic applications including light-emitting diodes and solar cells, owing to their outstanding optoelectronic characteristics. Emerging concepts, strategies, and techniques can be beneficial to the syntheses of optoelectronic nanomaterials, the understanding of nanomaterial science, optimization of film morphologies, exploration of interfacial contacts, innovation of device architectures, and the investigation of working mechanisms. Concurrently, the use of theoretical simulations in advanced nanomaterial science gives new insights into the intrinsic properties of optoelectronic nanomaterials, which may introduce the potential of further unexplored applications. Therefore, the development of advanced nanomaterials for optoelectronics is of great significance, particularly for light-emitting diodes and solar cells.
The goal of this Research Topic is to cover recent developments in the field of advanced nanomaterials including novel concepts, fundamental research, and theoretical results. We welcome Original Research, Review, Mini-Review and Perspective articles on themes including, but not limited to:
