Although a number of exciting, Nobel Prize quality discoveries were made in evolutionary microbiology during the recent 10 years, there is no collection where all of them could be summarized in a good way. Giant viruses (giruses), virophages, nanobacteria, and their role in a living nature were reviewed previously, but there is no one collection where researchers who are not familiar with the field could find all relevant information in a clear and concise manner.
