Sports performance is a complex phenomenon that depends on the interrelationships of many different factors. Aspects such as technique, tactics, physical abilities, or psychology are only some of the elements that athletes must master to achieve their goals.
The objective of this research topic is to investigate women's sports performance. Studies focusing on competition analysis, training, or the interaction between performance and training are welcome. We will pay particular attention to the quality of the scientific methodology.
Based on the above, we welcome studies that examine:
- Analysis of motor behaviors in women's sports (training and competition)
- Analysis of the physiology of women's sports (training and competition)
- Analysis of female sports training
- Analysis of women's competition
We will also consider studies that focus on subjects that historically received less research attention, such as:
- Children's and youth sports
- New proposals for training and/or performance in adapted sports
