With the rapid increment in electric mode of transportation, energy demand is gradually rising and the problem of global energy shortage is becoming increasingly demanded. Facing the pressure of energy crisis and environmental protection, the utilization of EVs energy in a smart alternative by using V2G, and G2V has been proposed which attain the worldwide attention. However, the V2G scheduling is intermittent and random, which hinders its utilization in a smooth manner. To overcome this issue, smart grid scheduling is proposed which can provide an effective solution for smooth V2G and G2V energy utilization. To reduce the cutback of V2G and smart grid scheduling, many methods have been proposed to investigate the planning and operation of the smart grids. Therefore, studying the smart grid has great significance and practice prospects to improve the popularity level of EVs and alleviate the energy shortage.
The main objective of this research is to overcome the energy shortage problem by utilizing the EVs energy through V2G, G2V, and smart grid interfaces. This research topic aims to bring together state-of-the-art advances in optimal scheduling by utilizing smart grid, G2V, and V2G. Both high-quality original research and review articles in the aforementioned field are all welcome for submission to this research topic.
