About this Research Topic
However, challenges remain with the precision pesticide application and intelligent operation of ground sprayers. Due to the complex and variable environment in the field, the diversity of plant phenotype information and other reasons, precision pesticide application technology needs further breakthroughs in target identification and positioning, lag correction model of targeted application, and multi-system collaborative control, etc. At the same time, the intelligent operation of ground sprayers also exists problems of low real-time performance and high cost based on fusion technology of multi-sensor information perception, machine vision, and artificial intelligence. Therefore, there is an urgent need for more in-depth research to enable precision pesticide application and intelligent operation of ground sprayers to be maturely applied to the control of crop diseases, insect pests, and weeds in the field.
This collection welcomes, but is not limited to, the following subtopics:
• Target identification and positioning of pesticide application
• Precise control of targeted pesticide application
• Intelligent variable control of spray volume
• Robot spraying based on high-precision navigation
• Pesticide application IOT precision management
Keywords: crop protection, precision pesticide application, intelligent agriculture, spraying system, ground sprayer
