The 21st century bears witness to a rapid development in gravitation and cosmology that will bring a breakthrough not only in self-gravitating objects, but also in gravitational theories. This special issue aims to present diverse advances in self gravitating stellar objects.
Gravitational collapse is one of the important phases of evolution in which the matter of a massive stellar object is pulled towards its central core. As a result, compact objects like neutron stars, white dwarfs and black holes are formed. The study of black holes has been carried out by analyzing its effects on the nearby objects that belong to a field of intense active research. We seek high-quality research articles focusing on the study of particle dynamics of black holes, gravitational lensing, shadows of black holes, thermodynamics of black holes and accretion process. We also welcome research articles on compact stars (neutron stars, white dwarf etc.) in modified theories of gravity as well as innovative research articles on relativistic astrophysics, including gravitational waves.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

• Study of geodesics
• Optical Properties of black holes
• Accretion Process
• Thermodynamics
• Gravitational waves
• Theoretical models of compact stars
