About this Research Topic
The aim of this research topic is to investigate how geographical and climatic factors affect respiratory allergic diseases. We welcome all article types accepted by Frontiers in Allergy covering themes including, but not limited to:
- The impact of geographical and climatic factors (including temperature, humidity, wind, rainfall, altitude, land cover, etc.) on the prevalence and pathophysiology of allergic airway diseases
-The different pollens causing respiratory allergy in different geographic zones and their pollen count trends
- Pollen as a cause of hospital admissions and emergency room visits in different geographic locations
- Thunderstorms and respiratory allergies
- Symptom thresholds for pollen and other allergens in different geographic locations
